Radisson Hotel Whittier
Our summer season at the Radisson Hotel Whittier is already in full swing. We started on the first of May and we'll continue until Friday, October 30. This is our 16th annual summer of "Dancing Under the Stars" outdoors by the pool, and our longest season ever. Each Friday evening, hundreds of terrific Salsa dancers join us in this gorgeous outdoor environment. Also new this summer -- the popular Salsa band Son Mayor will perform once a month. Coming up, Son Mayor will play on July 10, August 28 and September 18. This has been a wonderful summer tradition for 16 years! The address is 7320 Greenleaf Ave, Whittier. Call 562-945-8511. Temple City Park
On Saturday, May 30, we will be at Temple City Park in Temple City, from 1pm to 2pm for their Multicultural Day. The address is Las Tunas Dr and Golden West Ave. Call 626-285-2171. Festival runs all day with lots of activities for the family. Free.
Simi Valley Town Center
On Thursday, June 4, we will be at the Simi Valley Town Center in Simi Valley, for an outdoor concert from 6pm to 8pm. The address is 1555 Simi Town Center Way. Join us at this lovely new outdoor mall. Call 805-581-1430. Free.
Rancho Los Alamitos
On Saturday, June 6, we will play outdoors at Rancho Los Alamitos in Long Beach, from 12:30pm to 3:30pm, for "In the Nature of the Place -- Native Plants and Mediterranean Gardens." The address is 6400 Bixby Hill Rd, Long Beach. Come and dance with us, and celebrate the opening of the restored Rancho Los Alamitos native garden. Refreshments available. Park at CSULB lot 11 (Palo Verde Ave between Atherton and University Dr) and take the free continuous shuttle. Enjoy garden tours, a native plant sale and family garden fun, including banboo dish-garden construction and a tree scavenger hunt. Entire event runs from 11:30am to 5pm. Museum of Latin American Art
Also on Saturday, June 6, we will be at the Museum of Latin American Art in Long Beach, 7pm to 7:30pm. The address for MoLAA is 628 Alamitos Ave. Call 562-437-1689. Playboy Jazz Festival Community Concert at Warner Park
On Sunday, June 7, we will perform at the Playboy Jazz Festival free Community Concert at Warner Park in Woodland Hills, from 5pm to 6pm. This event is also sponsored by the Valley Cultural Center. The park location is Califa and Topanga. There will be food vendors and activities for kids. Entire event runs from 4:30pm to 8pm. Also performing are the Ed Shaughnessy Quintet and the great Diane Schuur. Free.
