NEW!! JUST ADDED! On Tuesday, April 18, we will play at the Blue J Bar and Lounge in DTLA, from 9:30pm to 12:30am. The address is 333 S Alameda St #115, Los Angeles CA 90013, phone 213-988-7326. This regular Tuesday Salsa night is produced by "Nights of Dance." Doors open at 6pm for happy hour and food and drink specials all night. Nicole Gil and Charlie Antillon teach a beginners Salsa dance class at 6:30pm, and an intermediate class at 8pm. Social dancing with DJ Charlie continues until 2am. On Saturday, April 22, we will play at the 5th Annual Riverside Tamale Festival from 11:15am to 12:15pm. The location is White Park, 3885 Market St, Riverside CA 92501. This year the festival runs from 10am to 7pm. Fun for the whole family -- Kids Zone, tamale eating contest, over 30 food vendors, craft beer, two stages of entertainment, arts and craft booths. This event is a fundraiser for Spanish Town Heritage Foundation. $1 donation entry fee, children under 12 free.

On Saturday, April 29, we will play at the Diamond Tamale Festival in Hemet from 12 noon to 2pm. The location is Diamond Valley Lake Sports Complex, 1801 Angler Ave, Hemet CA 92543. Festival runs from 10am to 6pm, with free admission. A celebration of tamales as one of the iconic staples of California’s rich Mexican and American heritage, there will be tamales, gourmet hot dogs, kettle corn, funnel cakes and lots of other food. There will be Tamale and Salsa contests, both professional and amateur, and booths of crafts, jewelry, ladies fashion and more. There will be a beer garden with craft breweries, and also the Diamond Vintage Car Show. Festival runs from 11am to 6pm with more live and DJ entertainment. Our concert in this beautiful outdoor mall will be the closing concert of this series, and will be held in the Starbucks Plaza, located at 300 E Colorado Blvd, Pasadena CA 91101 (note that we are NOT playing in the Garfield Promenade, where the other three shows of this Salsa dance series have been held). This event is produced by Erin and Tammi of Pasadena Ballroom Ballroom Association, who will give a free dance class of Salsa and Bachata from 7pm to 7:30pm. Huge beautiful wood dance floor. On Sunday, August 27, we will play a Latin jazz concert at Gandara Park from 5pm to 7pm.  This lovely park is located at 1819 Stewart St, Santa Monica 90404. On Saturday, September 23, we will perform at LA Councilmember Gil Cedillo's 4th Annual Latin Jazz & Music Festival in Highland Park, from 2:50pm to 3:50pm. There will be great Latin jazz and other types of music all day both Saturday and Sunday, from 2pm to 8pm, with food booths and trucks, arts and crafts booths, activities for the kids and more. On Friday, September 29, we will play in the courtyard of the Rancho Cucamonga Library, from 7pm to 9pm, for their Hispanic Heritage Cultural Arts Night. On Friday, October 13, we will perform at the concert "American Dreamers -- An Evening of Performance, Music and Comedy," a benefit to be held at the Los Angeles Theatre Center in DTLA, from 8pm to 10:30pm. The address of LATC is 514 S Spring St, Los Angeles CA 90013. This is a fundraiser for the California-Mexico Dreamers Study Abroad program. The concert starts at 8pm, and will feature solo performances from Ernie G, Cristela Alonzo,Isis Avalos, Josefina Lopez, Sergio Arau, Yareli Arizmendi, Justino Mora and Gregorio Luke.
